ETA: I know the picture doesn't get the details across, but the people in the blue tent are campaigning for Erica Gilmore for a District 19 Council seat, and one of the guys in the tent has a bullhorn he's using to address voters as they enter the church-cum-polling-place across the street. He very clearly asked me and Karsten to "vote for Gilmore" as we were entering the polling place. I don't know how that law is enforced, but I don't get the impression that this dude is in full compliance.

OK, so we did get a little snow.

It still doesn't mean a snow day for me. At least I don't think it does. I'm going to try the roads and see how they are. If they look icy and drivers act nervous, I'm turning around and coming home.

Now that our closest storm has passed by, I got out and took some pictures of the effects in our yard. We were very lucky to have escaped the major damage some of the surrounding areas got, but we definitely saw severe weather. I've never seen hail that big!

Barbra's the best on a leash -- he'll actually heel and everything.

I'm sitting on the front steps looking out over the garden, writing songs. This is a pretty nice life.
