Update on Dad
So this is my first opportunity to post an update. We're here in Chicago, and things have been a little crazy.
My dad had several small strokes last week during chemo. He only got through 5 of the 12 treatments he was scheduled for, and now his mobility is badly affected. It's been hell on him, I'm sure, but it's also damn tough for my mom and us, and I'm really glad I decided to come here. I can't imagine how my mom would've done all this alone.
Actually, Dad's been getting around a bit: first with a walker, now with a cane. He's even walked without any support a few times, just short distances. But I think he'll recover his mobility in time -- it's just a question of whether he's going to be able to complete the next round of treatments scheduled for next week.
If you're so inclined, thoughts and prayers are appreciated.
